Meet Oliver Jeffers

Oliver Jeffers Illustration work is so much further beyond what you might expect. Best known for his children’s picture books Oliver is a master of creating visual atmosphere in such a delicate way.

Born in Northern Ireland and now based in Brooklyn. Oliver describes all his work as art, and from what we can see art that is hugely well received. Oliver has sold over 10 million picture books, received over 60 awards and won a BAFTA for example.

As a man who clearly creativity pours out of, Oliver interestingly says that he:

Never tested his books out on kids.

Mixed with the idea that Oliver as a child had a healthy disconnection with authority, we wonder if Oliver is just carving his own path and we’re on for the ride.
