Beautiful scenes with illustrator Ryo Takemasa

Japan is somewhere that you would associate with beautiful scenery, and thanks to illustrator Ryo Takemasa it's less about the buildings and more about the space.

When we say Nature Illustration Japan, you might have a very specific visual treatment and feel to what you can see in your head.

However, when Japan based illustrator Ryo Takemasa brings his style to the table there is definitely another dimension that you may not have considered before.

Much like James Gilleard whos is also based in Japan, Ryo looks at complete scenes communicates the ‘space’. His style in our eyes is very approachable, welcoming and almost in Children’s book territory.

That’s most probably why his work is so highly regarded in editorial illustration.

We’ve pulled together some examples below.
